# Advanced Search

The **Advanced Search** function allows you to find a specific object or group of objects based on known information or specific characteristics. While searching via the search field alone and by keywords often yields a large amount of results, the Advanced Search function allows for a more precise search from the start.

The Advanced Search function is opened by clicking the button at the end of the search field.

This will open a new window with an Advanced Search mask. You can optionally switch to the full-screen mode of the window by clicking the button in the upper right corner.
