# Data and Metadata Copyright

While the images in the Census database are governed by various agreements regarding[ i](/using-census-data/image-copyrights.md)[mage copyright](/using-census-data/image-copyrights.md), all other data and metadata in the Census is governed by a CC-BY 4.0 license.
