# Change History

You can find the **Change History** of a particular record by clicking on the three dots on the right-hand side of the **Detail view** menu bar:

<div align="center"><figure><img src="/files/zAWNgNJ18hQheUPq5b8e" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

Then select **Change History**:

<div align="center"><figure><img src="/files/ZbtVYtffQOjDRUgkN3mg" alt="" width="563"><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

You will then see all the changes that have been made to the record in the Census Database.&#x20;

On 2023-01-16, all content of the Census Database was migrated to the current FYLR interface. If the record you are viewing was inserted before the migration, go to the first entry in the Change History to view when the record was first included in the Census Database.

Here, you will find data on the previous changes made to the record (changes made before 2023-01-16). The date when these changes were made, the name of the person who made the changes, the action taken, and notes on the changes made are displayed.

To view the record history, current and previous versions, activate 'Mark Changes' by checking the box. The corresponding color codes will then show if any information has been changed, added, or deleted.

Another way of accessing change history is to [print individual records as PDFs](/navigating-and-searching/detail-view/printing-pdfs.md), checking the 'change history' box. For each record you print, you will see its full change history.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.census.de/navigating-and-searching/detail-view/change-history.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
